ANDRÉ FERREIRA
Biography
Born in Portugal, André Ferreira started to play the guitar at the age of 12, inspired by his older brother. André's passion for the instrument rapidly increased until he decided to become a professional musician. Today André is aspiring to perfect his performance skills and enlarge his artistic perspectives in order to motivate music lovers and younger generations to cultivate this wonderful art.
He strongly believes that expression in music is the result of life experience, cultural background and above all, communication. As a performer, he brings this conviction with him through the concerts he played in several European countries including Portugal, Spain, Italy, Belgium, England, Germany and Austria.
André studied with Margarita Escarpa at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo (Spain), with Tilman Hoppstock at the Akademie für Tonkunst Darmstadt (Germany) and recently finished his master’s degree with Paolo Pegoraro at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (Austria).
